Poem: Mind Voice

Mind Voice

Separate thinking mind-voice
created defensive world
grown from my reactions
so that I could see myself.

These days I see you clearly
going on by yourself,
thinking that you’re alive
turning around and around.

Reacting chained thoughts
triggering emotions
false sense of being alive,
clinging to the past.

Is it as simple as a decision
to let this ‘old way’ to live go?
Just asking this – fear sets in
for what would then be left?

Could it be to experience oneself as love,
being one with life?
