Spiritual Poetry: Tanka Poetry by Betsy

Spiritual Poetry written in tanka form. Many of these represent insights of mine, in regards to steps of awareness. Tankas are written in 5 lines with syllable count 5-7-5-7-7. The first three lines form one concept/image and is similar to a haiku, and the last two lines are called a closing couplet and form another concept/image, relating to the first. The two parts together form an idea as a whole. The poem should be read like a koan, allowing space for all the words & images to settle - perhaps an insight comes to you just from reading one...
